About Preston
Born and raised in California, Preston has dedicated most of his adult life to helping people. When the fires struck Los Angeles, Preston was volunteering to pick up debris, package food and hygiene products, and bring hope and stability to affected residents. He helped organize the very first No Kings protest in Los Angeles that amassed as many as 100,000 people who were willing to exercise their rights and stand up for what they believed in. In his hometown, he took on racist and homophobic politicians head-on. Preston is running for Mayor because he believes the second-largest city in the United States, one that’s supposed to be “The City of Angels,” needs to and can do better. Cost of living has absolutely decimated families’ quality of life, but Preston believes that with the right leadership and right policy, the city can not just make itself livable, but also allow residents to finally thrive. He has spent countless hours working on policy and his campaign because he is committed to using absolutely everything at his and the city’s disposal to bring down the cost of living for all residents and create a safer, healthier, more positive environment for residents to thrive in.
